Development action with informed and engaged societies
After nearly 28 years, The Communication Initiative (The CI) Global is entering a new chapter. Following a period of transition, the global website has been transferred to the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) in South Africa, where it will be administered by the Social and Behaviour Change Communication Division. Wits' commitment to social change and justice makes it a trusted steward for The CI's legacy and future.

Co-founder Victoria Martin is pleased to see this work continue under Wits' leadership. Victoria knows that co-founder Warren Feek (1953–2024) would have felt deep pride in The CI Global's Africa-led direction.

We honour the team and partners who sustained The CI for decades. Meanwhile, La Iniciativa de Comunicación (CILA) continues independently at cila.comminitcila.com and is linked with The CI Global site.

Resource List for Adolescent Reproductive Health Programming in Conflict Settings, A

SummaryText
Through its experience in supporting adolescent reproductive health (ARH) among conflict-affected populations, the Women's Commission for Refugee Women and Children has gathered a list of electronically available resources on addressing the needs and strengths of adolescents, including family planning, sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and AIDS and other information about women's health. Resources in the document that specifically address refugee, internally displaced and other conflict-affected youth are identified by a red star. Others focus on development settings. Though not a comprehensive list, according to the authors, these resources can assist programme managers, advocates and policy makers in their efforts to improve ARH.

The resource listed in the document are in English with other languages noted. An abbreviated listing of resources in Spanish and French is available from the Women's Commission upon request. Most of the resources are available in PDF format. However, a limited number of citations below are not available from the internet, but instead are resources that have been collected in hard-copy format by the Women's Commission. For copies of these resources, please email your request to: info@rhrc.org
