IUD Toolkit
SummaryText
Offered by the Maximizing Access & Quality (MAQ) Initiative, this online toolkit (at http://www.iudtoolkit.org) aims to provide comprehensive, standardised, scientifically accurate, and evidence-based information on the intrauterine device (IUD), a reversible 12-year contraceptive method. It also provides guidance on "best practices" as well as tools to help improve access to and quality of IUD services.
The IUD Toolkit is composed of documents, presentations, case studies, and tools compiled and reviewed by reproductive health and family planning experts from thirteen international reproductive health organisations, in addition to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the United States Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the World Health Organization (WHO).
The IUD Toolkit is organised by programmatic categories:
The MAQ IUD Subcommittee welcomes electronic submissions of materials from programmes at the country level. Health care professionals can submit up-to-date policies, guidelines, curricula, advocacy pieces, or related materials on the IUD for consideration to the MAQ IUD Subcommittee at info@iudtoolkit.org
