Terrorism, Television Violence and Innocent Children

This book aims to highlight the nature and function of mass media as it relates to the portrayal of terrorism and violence among young children. The authors discuss various models of communication and attempt to arrive at a definition of the role of mass media and development communication in Pakistan society. The authors critically examine studies conducted in Pakistan as well as examine Western empirical works.

The authors also explore terrorism in respect to its causes and how to potentially control it. They also examine the Islamic view regarding terrorism and violence and quote various verses from the Holy Quran. Riots, looting, shooting, and killing with reference to India-Pakistan disputes are discussed.
