Journal of Development and Communications Studies (JDCS)

Published online and in print by Development Media Consulting, the Journal of Development and Communications Studies (JDCS) is an academic, peer-reviewed journal that is dedicated to research exploring linkages between communication and human development. According to the publication, the core goal of the JDCS "is to make available to development planners, students, civil society, politicians and the public, research recommendations for the benefit of social development in Malawi and Africa, foremost, and the world, second."
The journal, which is published biannually, contains field research papers, book reviews, discussion papers, case studies, and essays on a wide range of development and communication related topics which include: community radio; public broadcasting; gender, media, and development; communication for development; elections, media, and development; social media, health, and development; and social media and ethics/standards.
